Location and access
Macin Mountains are situated in the south-east of Romania, respectively in the north-western part of Dobrudja, in Tulcea County, among the Danube Valley, Luncavita Valley and the Cerna-Horia saddle, being framed between 28º07´ and 28º27 eastern longitude, respectively 45º01´ and 45º21´ northern latitude.
Internal Zoning
The internal zoning of MMNP is done according to MAPAM Order 552/2003 regarding the approval of the internal zoning of the national and natural parks, in terms of need to preserve the biological diversity and as per Government Order nr. 57/20.06.2007 related to the natural protected areas regime, conservation of natural habitats, a wild flora and fauna.
