Macin Mountains are an important distinction between the mountains of the country, being the oldest mountains in Romania, the interest of researchers is focused, the numerous historical sites, the archaeological excavations, but also to scientific research and the vast existing natural treasures here - geological, botanical , zoo.
Natural potential of currently available, Macin Mountains National Park is accessible to a wide range of tourists interested in hiking in nature, landscapes, flora, fauna park features, studies and documentation.
On different levels of vegetation, from 7 to 467 m - Peak Tutuiatu, will meet the unique landscape of the steppe slopes, followed by forests with sessile, hornbeam and flowering ash, downy oak bushes leading to the peaks and cliffsthen meadows the aspect of alpine steppe.
In the park is one of the oldest, interesting and known reserves in our country - Beech Valley Nature Reserve. It is characterized by the presence of unique and vigorous beech Tauric presenting characters intermediate between native beech and beech Oriental and coppice flora, unique in Dobrogea and Crimea like beech forests.
